Grab the Kleenex; the newest track and video from Welsh quintet Holding Absence will have you tearing up as they release the heartfelt You Are Everything. Lifted off their upcoming self-titled debut album which is set to be released on March 8th, it gives a glimpse into the band’s gratitude for their fans as they remind whoever is listening to “realise you’re enough, you are everything”.

In signature Holding Absence style, intricate lyricism combines with hard-hitting instrumentals to bring an emotional force of nature that will sweep you off your feet. If you’ve ever questioned your own worth, this is a track for you; the band understands what it’s like to feel out of place, to struggle against the mental weights that tie you down and they’re telling you it’s possible to emerge on the other side. Every word sung and every note played is done with conviction, and the searing intensity that lies at the core of this track only amplifies every feeling being conveyed.

The endearing video is dedicated to the band’s fans and follows them on the road. It’s clear that there’s a strong community as can be seen through the clips of the band’s incendiary live shows and fan interactions, and you’ll definitely feel your heart swell with warmth from the support shown for the band.

Speaking about the track and the video, vocalist Lucas Woodland says:

When we started this band, we began using the mantra You Are Everything. It both reminded our awesome fans how important they are to this band, and how they are everything to us, but also felt like a message of hope and a reminder of how they should be everything to themselves. Whilst writing the album we wanted to slip the lyric in somewhere and fortunately this song really lent itself to that. After a hugely successful tour supporting AS IT IS in December, we walked away with some great footage and memories. This video – coupled with the song and lyrics – is just a reminder to our fanbase how important they are to us!

The band will play an acoustic show at Banquet Records in Kingston two days before the album release, and tickets can be purchased here.
