Live: DEMOB HAPPY // The Garage, London
Following the release of their new single, Less Is More, Demob Happy took to the road for their biggest headline tour so far, selling out iconic venue The Garage.
Brighton-based Demob Happy are no newcomers to the music scene, having been around for over 10 years. They may have – since their formation – lost one member, but the trio stand firm today with two albums under their belt – the latest of which, Holy Doom, helped them secure support slots for bigwigs Nothing But Thieves, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, and Jack White.
Proving that less is indeed more, they were relentless from the moment they stepped on stage to the second they jumped off onto the outstretched arms of the crowd. Packed with heavy, grungy riffs, tinged with psychedelia, and furnished with effortless harmonies, the set featured punchy tunes Succubus and Liar In Your Head, a stripped-back version of Holy Doom, as well as a rendition of Be Your Man mingled with The Beatles’ Helter Skelter.
After what we’ve seen, we can’t wait to spend the next decade with Demob Happy.
