UNDEROATH Unveil Video for ‘Bloodlust’

The Florida band has announced one-off UK headline show this Spring.

Underoath 2019

Grammy nominees Underoath have had some successful milestones with their latest album, Erase Me, including a tour supporting Dance Gavin Dance and a Grammy nomination for best metal performance for their single On My Teeth, but they’ve just hit another one: they have released their fourth music video for this album cycle.

This video for Bloodlust picks up where the clip for ihateit left off, with singer Spencer Chamberlain and drummer Aaron Gillespie tied to a pole while they are being surrounded by hooded men. The visuals of them tied up and singing are interchanged with images of an angel statue, similar to the one on the cover of the album. The visuals fit the lyrics well, with the lyrics “And you left me no choice. My hands are tied, and I won’t listen” ringing true in the pre-chorus.

Aaron Gillespie explains:

Making this video was a really interesting process, because the song deals with a lot of deep issues and struggles. But it was so late when we were filming that we were just hysterical. The video seems so serious due to the lyrical content, but it was a night.

Underoath aren’t only playing Download Festival in June, but they will also be headlining the Electric Ballroom in London on June 5th with special guest Parting Gift.
