FEET Announce Debut Album ‘What’s Inside Is More Than Just Ham’
It’s time to lace up your boots and channel your inner Wild-West for the newest video from Feet.
Coventry quintet Feet are back with their newest cut Ad Blue, a jangly cut that might have left you mistakenly thinking that Feet actually hailed from the Wild West with its twanging guitars and drawling vocals. The track is lifted from the band’s recently announced upcoming debut album What’s Inside Is More Than Just Ham, which will be released on August 2nd via Clapped Records.
Singing about feeling ‘like a lobster in the pan’, it’s a bit of an odd one with hints of psychedelia interweaved seamlessly into the melody, but somehow it all works to create a dizzying, woozy track that’s strangely infectious. You won’t be entirely sure you’ve understood what has just happened, but what you do know for certainty is that you’ve enjoyed it.
Speaking about the single, the band says:
It was the first song that really became about rhythm, and creating a more dance-orientated experience for our audiences. It’s also technically about making unsuspecting cups of tea with a diesel additive as a H2O substitute. We all have bad days.
Accompanied by an equally eccentric video of the band dressed as cowboys and dancing with kettle’s, you can’t help but feel a share of the euphoria of the band as they high-five and dance around. The band mentions the video ‘hints at the song’s conceptual source’, explaining:
Kettle’s, blue liquid, dancing, whilst also converging with a more general wild west theme about oil men, an idea that Jeep [frontman George] has been juggling around his bizarre head for a while. This sort of responsibility is beneficial for the rest of us because if the video does nothing for us we’ll be happy to send the corporate hounds in his direction.
