Nu-metal formation Issues have released their first single in three years through Rise Records, after parting with their vocalist Michael Bohn last year.

It has been an eventful time for Issues since the release of their second studio album Headspace in 2016. The biggest change has been Bohn’s departure in 2018, blaming creative differences as the reason for his leave. The band has remained mysterious about the break-up, and didn’t release any new sound for three years.

Issues’ return with Tapping Out is significant for several reasons, therefore. As the band explains:

It highlights the struggles of trying to make something work time and time again. Eventually, you just want to tap out. Whether it’s in a relationship, with yourself, or even with a band!

It seems that the events surrounding Bohn has been a good songwriting motivation, and the end product doesn’t lie. With raging guitars, R&B phrasing and a rumbling bass, Tapping Out is a heavy track to be proud of.
