NASTY CHERRY Share Visuals for ‘What Do You Like In Me’
Dark and sensual, LA girlband Nasty Cherry will stop you in your tracks with their new video for What Do You Like In Me.
Signed to Charli XCX’s label imprint Vroom Vroom Recordings, Nasty Cherry have been creating quite a buzz since their debut single, Win, was released in March this year. As a follow-up, they have just shared a tasteful new offering, What Do You Like In Me, that is sure to draw even more attention.
Musing over the demands and drains of relationships online and offline, Nasty Cherry serve a glistening alt-pop perfection in the form of their latest track. With a romantic quality to their sound, and a great dose of sass and sophistication, What Do You Like In Me is a blend of dreamy vocals and hazy synths setting a nostalgic tone, as lead singer Gabbriette reminds us with a velvety croon that “nothing is forever”. Showing a more tender side to the band, but with the same retro glam and swaggering attitude as expressed in their previous single, the song brings Nasty Cherry’s sonic diversity to the forefront.
Produced and co-directed by lead-singer Gabbriette and creative Indiana Piorek, the video for the track makes for a dark visual accompaniment with its horror-esque vibe and ominous feel. Check it out below.
Vocalist Gabbriette explains:
The song is personal to all of us… Indiana and I wanted to create a world that felt familiar and timeless and let the song speak for itself. We used all of our own clothes and “props” from our homes and friends to help out…it was a wonderful collaboration that I’m so happy was born.
