ASKING ALEXANDRIA Share New Tune ‘The Violence’

If you feel like the new Asking Alexandria track blew your socks off, you’re not alone in the feeling.

Asking Alexandria - The Violence 2019

Asking Alexandria may as well be synonymous with British arena rock, and their latest track The Violence works in favour of this claim with its gargantuan riffs and unbridled energy.

After cryptically teasing fans this week with a mysterious phone number that is answered by an automated message, all has been cleared up as the track reveals the automated message to be lyrics lifted off the track. Danny Worsnop’s blistering vocals go head-to-head with crushing riffs in the chorus, creating a roaring call to arms that will inspire both awe and fear at the same time. Accompanying the track is a short film which sees the band battling against a reverse apocalypse scenario, where they are everyday zombies trying to outlive bloodthirsty humans hunting them down.

Guitarist Ben Bruce begins:

We are back bigger, better, louder and more insane than ever before. This single encompasses everything we have been working towards. Huge guitars, anthemic drums and some of the catchiest, most technically accomplished vocals that Danny has ever delivered, and this is only just the beginning.

Danny continues:

The Violence was an incredibly rewarding song to create. Ben and I both got to go way outside anything we’d done before and create something fresh and engaging. Thematically the song is about the way mainstream media and politicians manipulate and spread mistruth amongst the people to encourage and create anger, fear, division, and conflict in their quest to control and acquire power. As the history books have shown, this only goes so far before the people stand up and say enough is enough. I hope everyone enjoys what we’ve created here, we had a great time making it, and even more fun shooting the video!
