CHAPPAQUA WRESTLING Share Video for ‘Is She Happy Turning On Her Side?’
Brighton duo Chappaqua Wrestling have unveiled their video for new single Is She Happy Turning On Her Side?, a song that garnered them ‘Tune of the Week’ from Jack Saunders on BBC Radio 1.
Off the back of recent success the school pals, Jake and Charlie, have recently supported Sports Team and Black Honey, as well as performed at Green Man Festival, The Great Escape, Live at Leeds and Latitude.
Their sunny sound draws from everyone from the Beach Boys to Steely Dan, with a modern Kooks-esque tinge, a welcome respite from the despair and continual decline of the modern world. Accompanying the song, the amateur style tour video documents their journey up and down the UK, incorporating shows, cityscapes and everything in-between.
Chappaqua Wrestling explain:
The song was written towards the end of our time in Manchester. It was written with a retrospective in-look to scenarios and encounters that we came across in the city. The stories and setting serve as metaphors for moments and feelings that we continue to come across, regardless of the setting. In hindsight it was all pretty rosy.
The duo is currently focused on releasing a new EP in early 2020, hopefully a continuation of the success they garnered with False/Blue and Plant Trees.
