LAULIA Release Music Video for ’13/7′
The English newcomers have released visuals for their latest track, a part of their double-A sided single 13/7 / Outcast Kids through Rose Coloured Records.
LAULIA are an alt-rock band which has only just entered the scene, but the female-fronted four piece has already garnered some attention with their involvement in Blood Records’ ‘Girls Against’ compilation, as well as a performance at Camden Rocks Festival. 13/7 is the latest taste of their material, after the release of debut singles Burning Out and Machines earlier this year.
Vocalist Lauren Holmes has said of the song:
We often feel it’s our job to take care of the people we love, we may even feel like we owe it to them for everything they have done for us. But at times, we have to accept that their self-destructive, co-dependant behaviour can begin to take a toll on our lives. This is often quite difficult to see; it’s so easy to be lead down the road with someone, and it’s so difficult to ‘snap out of it’ so to speak. Sometimes it comes down to the choice of loving yourself or loving someone else, and ultimately, we must accept that we can’t help those who don’t want to be helped.
13/7 proves the musical maturity of the band and presents them as the great songwriters they are. We’re looking forward to hearing more from the band in the future.
