COACH PARTY Release Debut Single ‘Oh, Lola’

All aboard! Coach Party are here to stay.

Coach Party 2019

Get your seatbelts on guys! Coach Party have arrived. With guns blazing, this up and coming group have shared their incredible debut track, Oh, Lola.

The female fronted band is the latest addition to Chess Club Records’ roster, joining the ranks of the label framed for breaking new talent – recent signings include Alfie Templeman and Phoebe Green, and past successes including Jungle and Wolf Alice.

Inspired by the works of Nirvana, Sonic Youth, The Big Moon, Tame Impala, the rebellious, stick-it-to-the-man, middle-finger-to-the-sky attitude really translates in their new single. It reminds me fondly of the same feeling and raw energy I get from listening to underrated 70s punk band the Slits.

Speaking of the track, lead vocalist and bassist Jess Eastwood explains:

No matter how boring, frustrating and dumb life is, ‘Oh Lola’ is that one friend we all have that when you’re together, you overcome all of that negativity and just have fun. That’s what ‘Oh Lola’ is all about.

The single comes hand-in-hand with its very own video in the form of retro 16mm film visuals. Coach Party have delivered the best indie head-banging party-crashing single and I hear them loud and clear. I am so excited about this band and you definitely should be too. Coach Party truly is the Isle of Wight’s best kept secret.
