MYSTERY JETS Release Anthemic New Single ‘A Billion Heartbeats’
After its first radio spin as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record In The World a couple of nights ago, may we all give the warmest welcome to the brilliant new Mystery Jets single, A Billion Heartbeats.
Jam-packed with arena filling qualities, A Billion Heartbeats is an absolute belter. Blending rich harmonies, heavy guitars and rallying cries, the track captures the overriding message of the entire album about the power of becoming engaged and aware of our cultural and political surroundings. Once again, Mystery Jets have done an incredible job. You will have this track on repeat.
The news of the single comes following the re-announcement of the group’s upcoming album, also called A Billion Heartbeats. The name is so good they couldn’t not use it twice. The LP is set for release on April 3rd, following its postponement last September.
Lead singer Blaine Harrison was living right around the corner from Trafalgar Square where he witnessed an entire year of protests in 2017, it was from this that the band’s sixth LP was inspired. He explains:
This album wasn’t about making pointed opinions. It was about being a mirror for what’s going on, reflecting back the way people are feeling.
The band has recently announced their rescheduled 2020 tour dates. Catch them this spring!
