Live: ELECTRIC GUEST // Fine Line Music Cafe, Minneapolis, MN
Electric Guest put on an electric show this week at Fine Line Music Cafe in Minneapolis, MN.
Opener Soleima from Denmark properly warmed up the chilled crowd. Her newest release Roses was a particular crowd-pleaser with its upbeat and catchy melody. Switching between center stage and her keyboard, lead singer Sarah showed amazing musicality and stage presence.
Electric Guest took the stage next, with frontman Asa Taccone leading the charge. His dynamic and often erratic movements kept the audience on their toes. After the first few songs, Tacconne addressed the crowd, stating that this was the first show of the tour where he was finally in good health. His energy and passion shone throughout the performance, one could tell immediately that he was born to be on stage.
One highlight included a rendition of Dollar, and afterward Taccone told a humorous story about why they no longer throw out actual money. The set continued with more and more energy, and the devoted, sold-out crowd was hooked throughout.
