COACH PARTY Get Personal With Infectious New Track ‘Breakdown’
Channelling all of the retro vibes, you’ll be hit with a wave of nostalgia in Coach Party’s newest single Breakdown.
Isle Of Wight quartet Coach Party are beginning to make quite the name for themselves, although they are quite hard to ignore with their raucous melodies and infectious tunes. Exemplified finely in their irresistible newest single Breakdown, it’s a punchy, up-in-your-face tune that isn’t afraid to open up about the insecurities attached to romantic relationships and confess personal doubts.
Drawing upon some old-school influences both visually and sonically, you’ll be transported by the guitar-driven accompaniment to the punk and rock music of the 80s. The faded and DIY nature of the video only serves to drive home this familiarity and yearning of a decade past, yet the band has managed to accomplish a refreshingly new spin upon the sound that slots them in perfectly for this day and age.
Speaking of the track, lead vocalist and bassist Jess Eastwood explains:
It’s about when love attacks the brain. It’s supposed to be great, and sometimes it is, but amongst all the good vibes you indirectly feed your jealousy, anger, fear, and keep adding to your own problems and insecurities until you literally break down, which at best just resets your emotions and starts the destructive cycle once again.
