Melodic bedroom pop with stunning, sophisticated, retro visuals to match. The video for honey by Boy Pablo is perfect for transporting you to hazy summer days. The track is the second release from his debut album Wachito Rico, out on October 23rd via 777 Music.

The magnificent track from the 21-year-old instantly fills the soul with so much joy, whilst the soft, pastel tones within the video create a sense of calm and security which doesn’t let up throughout. The use of retro blends and text style at the start bring a 70s feel to the clip which is utterly irresistible. The slight fade on the camera adds a comforting effect that’s soft on the eyes but incredibly compelling which makes you fall in love with both the song and the music video.

The glorious video fits in perfectly with the dreamy, weightless vocals that flow through your ears and lighten the heart. The video and honey itself is the slightly un-done, charmingly imperfect duo you never knew you needed.

Speaking on the new track, Boy Pablo shares:

I started writing ‘honey’ last year when I was just messing around on my guitar. The hook came to me first and I made a demo based off of that. The track is about how a relationship moves between the bad and the good times, but even through the bad times the mutual love you’ve built and the fascination you have for each other never fades away, and you choose to stick together through it all. I want to say thank you to Esteban Munoz and Erik Thorsheim who helped me both write and produce this track.
