SIMILAR KIND Release Endearing Track ‘Parked Car Conversations’
Sonically similar to Paramore’s After Laughter, this track epitomises the one-sided cluelessness of breaking up with a significant other, but in a super upbeat manner.
Hailing from Norwalk, Connecticut, Similar Kind are an indie alternative/pop band which originated from a garage jam session and has blossomed into the five-piece performing live shows across northeast USA.
With its dance-ready guitar riffs, smooth grooves and irresistible vocals, it’s impossible not to listen to Parked Car Conversations on repeat!
Speaking on the new single, Similar Kind share:
Difficult breakups and heartbreaks are things we all know too well. ‘Parked Car Conversations’ is our own blend of indie-pop and funk giving the experience of a difficult breakup while also giving you the urge to dance. Lyrically, ‘Parked Car Conversations’ tells the story of two people talking over their relationship with one another and one decides to call it quits, while the other is desperately trying to hold on but to no avail. They end the conversation late at night, on an awkward note with nothing left to say.
Currently, the band are working on their sophomore EP which will follow their vibrant, synth-pop debut EP Faces & Places – so stay tuned for that!
