Due to its minimalistic production and soothing sonics, the angelically soft vocals and emotionally raw lyricism are highlighted in this ethereal track.

Comprising of frontwoman Kelly Zutrau, producer Joe Valle and guitarist Marty Sulkow, Wet are an American indie-pop trio who met through mutual friends whilst studying in New York. Signed to Columbia Records, the band create stunning sounds through the genres of indie pop, alternative R&B, dream pop, synthpop, and indietronica.

On Your Side was co-written by Zutrau and producer of the track Bobby Ross, who has notably worked with the likes of Frank Ocean and Bon Iver. Soulful and positively sublime, this graceful song will appeal to listeners with a love for music which emulates the sincerity of poetry and simultaneously sounds like paradise.

Zutrau says:

‘On Your Side’ is about the feeling of embodying unconditional love as a special and fleeting experience. Even though it sounds contradictory, unconditional and fleeting, it’s about that duality. I often find myself in more ambivalent places in relationships and then when it happens it’s epic like planets and trees and rivers and then like that it’s gone again. I think I wanted to capture it as a way of holding onto that feeling. To me a lot of love songs are about capturing that quick moment before it’s gone, there’s a desperation to it.
