Adelaide-based musician Tushar picked up the songwriting pen when the world locked down over coronavirus, as he found himself with more spare time and productivity. He’s just released his sophomore single, July 20, an explosive and dynamic track that will compel you to jump along and let your hair down.

A driving accompaniment of airy guitars and frolicking bass lines in the verses set the scene for happy times ahead, as they evoke a sense of being at ease with the buzzing atmosphere around them. Laid-back vocals further soothe you and make you feel at home while an underlying current keeps the mood high consistently, before animated electric guitars jump in on the chorus to deliver an extra dose of electricity to fire you up. Detailing more about his intentions behind the track, Tushar explains:

‘July 20’ is about the night I bumped into my lover, before we became lovers! We already knew each other previously, but we never actually caught up or hung out until the night of July 20. I was with my friends, lining up to get into a music festival, when I hear my name being shouted out from a taxi that just pulled up. It was my Katie girl and her friend. They joined us in the line and our energies just clicked; making us inseparable all night. We had the best time talking, dancing, drinking, partying together. Even when it was just ‘too loud to talk’, we’d just jump around and dance instead. Not a care in the world, our focus was solely on each other.
