The Leeds trio lights it up a bit on their latest offering Tame.

Thriving on darkly tinged spacious psychedelia, The Boxing now showcase a more luminous side of their songwriting craft. Their signature expansive tone still radiates thoroughly but it’s that lighter variation that makes Tame blossom to a truly polished form. The subtle play of gritty guitars and bold bass lines lures into the swooning soundscape of the track, all unequivocally emphasised by distant vocals.

Lead-singer/guitarist Harrison Warke explains:

Most of our songs are written in a darkroom without windows, but a hint of light managed to creep into this one. There’s a bit of sweet among the usual sour.
