ALVVAYS Unveil Brand New Track ‘Plimsoll Punks’

The Toronto-based quartet is set to release their sophomore full-length Antisocialites, next month.

We have a fresh new track to share by Alvvays titled Plimsoll Punks and it’s a little gem.

Following up previous singles In Undertow and Dreams Tonite the Toronto crew has served up this ripe track coming from their second album, Antisocialites. Out on the 8th of September, this latest one is full of influences, super nostalgic in a lot of ways that all seem to work just fine.

The song goes from dainty to surging quickly, and it is with those transitions that it shows experimentation with their sound which is truly unique. Singer Molly Rankin’s vocals display an impressive range whilst guitars kick into gear and are hard not to notice as the tempo jumps around. It would be the perfect track to accompany a final scene in a 90’s film with its continuity to flow.

Antisocialites is due out September 8th via Transgressive Records.

Alvvays also announced a world tour including a release day show at London’s KOKO, which has already sold out.
