The Brisbane lads, The Belligerents unveil visuals for Science Fiction, the title track from their acclaimed debut album, released last month.

Directed by Julian Lucus, Science Fiction is the second part of the series that follow Flash and depicts Lewis Stephenson, the singer of the band searching for his long lost dog who is up in space.

Stephenson says:

We filmed this in Melbourne a few weeks back across a few humid, wet days. It was real hot in that space suit. I had never acted before and so I was pretty nervous, but after doing it for the first few hours I got used to it and the shakes stopped.

Director Julian Lucas adds:

It was exciting tackling a sequel. The line ‘why can’t I fly away from earth’ was the catalyst for the concept. Of course I couldn’t set it in space, so I thought it would be interesting to position Lewis as a bit of a neurotic guy who really believes that he can fly to space to find his dog; it’s everyone else around him who are standing in his way.

The guys hit the road around Australia in a couple of weeks, hitting up the major cities and some regional venues too.
