CHILDHOOD Share Visuals for New Single ‘Too Old For My Tears’
Childhood unveil the video for their newest cut Too Old For My Tears taken from their sophomore, Universal High.

The sound tangles psychedelic, jazzy and funk driven influences together with more straight pop elements. There’s also an undertone of gloom that’s reinforced in the lo-fi video. Their more dreamy fantasy direction is a new turn for the London outfit, but it’s oh so glamorous.
Flickering between live cuts and clips of tourists and general city life, the video is a surreal mix between gloomy and fantastical, never quite settling on either. It gives a slight insight into the band as the video was shot in Paris during Childhood’s headline show, serving glimpses of the night out and morning after.
Ben says:
‘Universal High’ represents many things to us as a band. It signifies change, both musically and mentally whilst also revisiting influences that confounded our interest in music in the first place. What I think is noticeable is the direct nature of the songs and its influences. Being surrounded by soul music, classic pop songs and music with any form of groove all my life, these influences began to speak for themselves within these new songs we were writing.
