You Will Feel Better After Hearing This
THE VELVETEINS unveil bright new track.
Deriving from Edmonton, Canada, the trio has shared first cut, Don’t Yah Feel Better, to be taken from their upcoming debut album, Slow Wave, due next year.
The Velveteins‘ new offering is a sweet joy of a tune, and it will surely require a shy sing along and perhaps a bolder sway of your hips. Personally, all I want to do is roll down my car window, turn the music up and forget about December cold lurking outside.
The track purely shines thanks to the laid-back guitars which smoothly interlace with upbeat drums leaving behind the trace of a somewhat polished careless precision. Spencer Morphy‘s raw but melodic vocals inject a vigorous spirit into the song and add an infectious vibe to the mix creating a pleasant earworm.
More from the band:
Around the same time we penned the song, we were listening to a lot of traditional Indian music which inspired the guitar melody. We wanted to make the lyrics feel lighthearted and wrote them about how everything you need is around you, you just have to stop and listen for it.
The Velveteins will be releasing their debut full-length, Slow Wave, in 2017 via Fierce Panda Canada.
