CURTIS WALSH Releases Debut Single ‘Full Recovery’

Curtis Walsh makes a tender introduction with Full Recovery, a delicate piece that will remind you that despite the bad times, everything will be alright.

At merely 17, Curtis Walsh already has an impressive number of accolades under his belt, supporting major acts such as LANY, Tom Walker, and having his own slot at notable European music festivals including Electric Picnic. And listening to his debut single Full Recovery, it’s a dazzling introduction for listeners who are not yet familiar with the young singer-songwriter.

A tender acoustic guitar introduction opens the track, and powerful lyrics soon filter through, displaying Walsh’s maturity in tackling topics that are seemingly beyond his years. You will feel a warmth blossom through your chest when you arrive at the chorus, as uplifting lyricism combine with expressive vocals to send the message “I hope you know I’ve got your back / If you’ve got mine”.

On the track, Walsh explains:

At the time of writing ‘Full Recovery’ I was seeing someone who was going through a lot and she really let it get her down. I could relate to some of what she was going through from past experiences. During these past experiences I remember being in Dublin one evening and met a homeless man. I spoke to him briefly and realised that some people out there have it a lot worse than I do. After that it kind of changed my general mindset and how I looked at situations. I wrote ‘Full Recovery’ to try to change the mind frame of the person I was seeing so she would realise no matter how bad the situation is, that with a bit of patience and trust, everything will eventually be okay.
