TILIAN PEARSON Reveals Video for ‘Cocky’

The Dance Gavin Dance frontman unveils his infectious alt-pop tune Cocky

Tilian Pearson dazzles with his vibrant new single Cocky, which will be released on his third album The Skeptic. The record is rounded at ten tracks packed with pop-punk and indie-pop offerings, and it will be released on September 28th via Rise Records.

Tilian says:

Musically and in my personal life, I kept thinking, ‘I’ve got to find and explore some new ground’. I’ve always been so much more questioning than most people around me are. I never really bought into things the way 90% of the crowd does. That sentiment communicated the idea of The Skeptic to me.

Sharing his signature raspy voice that listeners are familiar with and love, Tilian sings of lost love in Cocky. Lamenting that “My arrogance took hold and made me blind to see”, the poignant lyrics are set against an exuberant accompaniment that may initially convince you otherwise of the track’s hidden regret. Opening with a bubbly guitar riff, guitars are intertwined with infectious drum beats that will make you tap your feet along. It’s a sunshine-filled alt-pop anthem that serves as the perfect accompaniment to sipping lemonade by the pool.

The video for the track features Tilian and his love interest taking a picturesque road trip throughout San Bernardino and Crestline, California. Full of blue skies and stunning mountainous backdrops, the summer vibe is equally strong in the video as it is in the track. You’ll be left yearning your own road trip after seeing the video.
