Prepare for washes of euphoria in the latest single from Boy Bjorn, Now I’m Running.

We’re treated to a more upbeat side to the music of Boy Bjorn with his latest single Now I’m Running.

Having previously released the poignant singles Anchorage and Alone At The Severance, listeners are familiar with his delicate handling of personal subjects, and Boy Bjorn continues in this vein as he tackles his anxiety head-on in his latest track. It’s a liberating song, as symphonic flourishes combine with uplifting melodies to create a blossom of warmth. As synths dazzle in the background, rich vocal harmonies seep through and convey the emotion underlining the track.

Explaining the lyricism behind the track, Boy Bjorn says:

I wrote it as an olive branch to others who have suffered or suffer. I needed that insight when I was in the worst of it. I needed to know that others couldn’t control it as well, that I wasn’t doing anything wrong. I needed to learn that every day was a step towards healing. It’s ultimately a celebration of the scars it left me with. That I wouldn’t give up my experience for softer skin.

Boy Bjorn has also announced his debut album Mistaken Animals, set to be released on October 12th via Communion Records.
