CALVA LOUISE Drop Raucous New Cut ‘I Heard A Cry’
Get ready to shake your head and hips with the raucous new single from Calva Louise.

London trio Calva Louise launch their infectious new single I Heard A Cry.
With its riotous guitars and clamorous drums, the track is sure to get your heart pounding and your toes tapping. With a barely constrained zeal and delight, it rocks into your life unannounced, crashing in a flurry of rousing vocals and fuzzy guitars. It’s a pulsating anthem that will leave you energised, no matter how you’re feeling, and it’s two minutes of distilled youthful energy that shows where their fierce reputation within London’s punk scene has developed from. Between guitar effects and chiming vocal harmonies, vocalist Jess Allanic is able to cut through with her impassioned cries of “I heard a cry far away”. The upbeat tempo makes it a perfect track for a boogie, and you’ll catch yourself doing just that as the vigour zaps right through you.
Discussing the single, the band says:
‘I Heard A Cry’ deals with the misinformation we often feel regarding what’s happening elsewhere in the world. But at the same time, it’s about the will of many people who are trying to inform themselves.
