MATTY CORBY Releases Magical Visuals for ‘No Ordinary Life’
Matt Corby presents a visual projection concept for his latest fascinating single, No Ordinary Life.
No Ordinary Life is taken from Matt Corby‘s forthcoming second record, Rainbow Valley, and it’s pure magic.
Inspired by Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory and a new found sense of balance and purpose – a result of experiencing fatherhood for the first time, No Ordinary Life is a kaleidoscopic palette of sounds. Built upon abundant textures, the track feels spacious in its beautiful simplicity. Finding extraordinary in ordinary moments, Matt Corby brings swirling melodies and blissful vocals together to shape a tale that will soothe your soul. And now we finally have stunning visuals to match.
The video was directed by Matt’s close friend VJ Ego, who is best known for his collage and projection work. The pair came up with the video’s lighting and projection concept to include isolated footage of Matt playing the individual instruments, which were then manipulated with colour and light, and projected into the garden of the Rainbow Valley property where the album was written and named.
Ego says of the video:
I wanted to create something that takes Matt into the ‘extra-ordinary’; almost beamed up and into an ether of light, colour and wonder. There is an intimate connection between him and every note that I wanted to show in one time and place.
Rainbow Valley is set for release on November 2nd via Atlantic Records.
Matt will be returning to the UK and Europe next January and February for a special Rainbow Valley Tour.
