BRING ME THE HORIZON Unveil Visuals for New Track ‘wonderful life’
The newest track from Bring Me The Horizon, featuring none other than Dani Filth, will tear apart any preconceptions you may have had about the band and their upcoming album.
Packed with filthy riffs and a smashing chorus, Bring Me The Horizon are back with more material from their upcoming album Amo, slated for release on January 25th.
wonderful life teases listeners with a further taste of the direction the band will be taking with the new record, and although it’s not what we’re used to, you can’t complain when the music is this good. Masterfully creating tension throughout the track, with an incredible build-up in the bridge, the menacing characteristic of Dani Filth’s vocals lends itself to the track perfectly and you’ll be left with shivers running down your spine.
The opening riff that loops itself around the track was actually born out of a writing session with Limp Bizkit and was originally intended for them. Speaking to BBC Radio 1, frontman Oli Sykes explains:
Last year, me and Jordan [Fish] went and worked with Fred Durst on a Limp Bizkit album. It just didn’t work out, to be honest. He just didn’t show up most of the time. Lovely guy, but I don’t think he was ready to make an album. I think he was pushed into it a bit, like, his managers and people said ‘These are the guys you want to work with.’ So we gave him all these ideas and I mean it was just bad from day one, to be honest. It’s one of them things, looking back, where it wasn’t meant to be. One good thing came out of it: me and Jordan wrote this riff and I one day decided the tempo and key matched almost perfectly with the song. So we de-Bizkit‘d it a bit, and it ended up sounding pretty sick.
