Chasing Stars marks the outfit’s first new material since their acclaimed 2016 album Reverie, and they’ve returned with even more charm and lustre.

The Scandinavian dream pop trio Postiljonen may span two countries between the three of them, but the expansive nature of their music is sure to span more than this. Chasing Stars is a spellbinding taste of what may be expected from the trio’s forthcoming third album, with its dazzling electronics and tinkering melodies.

Euphoric electronics breeze in the track, and you can almost feel the summer glow settle around you as washes of nostalgic synths and upbeat percussion bring you to new highs. Orchestral strings swirl above this texture, whilst the airy vocals of Mia Brox Bøe will leave you with a dulcet aftertaste.

Speaking on the lyrical meaning behind the track, the band says:

‘Chasing Stars’ is about the longing for that someone who you used to be very close to. While the lyrics might come across very heartbreaking – there’s still a sense of underlying hope that someday somewhere you’ll be together again, chasing stars. It’s nostalgic as always. It’s the chasing that is the magic and essence, forget about the reaching. We actually started writing this song three years ago but it couldn’t come at a better time for us.
