TEN FÉ Release New Single ‘Coasting’
British indie pop outfit Ten Fé have released new single, Coasting, taken from their sophomore album Future Perfect, Present Tense.
After the release of their acclaimed album Hit The Light in 2017 and a North American and European tour, Ten Fé have begun releasing singles for Future Perfect, Present Tense. Their singles Won’t Happen, Not Tonight, No Night Lasts Forever and Echo Park have previously all been added to Spotify’s New Music Friday in multiple territories and Best Of The Week at Apple Music and we expect the same to happen for Coasting.
Coasting is a simple, woozy celebration of love, drawing inspirations from artists like War On Drugs and The E Street Band. Especially the latter is recognizable in the instrumentals, and unsurprising as Ben Moorhouse and Leo Duncan have both mentioned being big Springsteen fans in the past. The lyrics describe the weightless feeling of a new love, or as the band explain:
It’s a simple statement – ‘when I’m with you, I don’t need anything or anyone else. This feels easy, it feels like a fresh start: I’m coasting.’ Musically we kept it really simple too to reflect the sentiment.
Future Perfect, Present Tense is set to be released on March 8th via Some Kinda Love/PIAS and they’ll be hitting Europe on tour starting April 24th.
