ON VIDEO Release Visuals for ‘Past Tense’
Bold and brash, On Video sure know how to write a swinging sophomore single. If they can get a thespian to dance and rock out in their newest video, then how can you resist headbanging along?
East London quartet On Video share the visuals for their sophomore single Past Tense. Alongside previous release Ghee, Past Tense will feature on the quartet’s upcoming debut EP Clap Trap which is set for release later this year via AWAL / Rex River Bay.
Both the single and the video is a statement of intent, and brings an infectious garage-rock charm that you just can’t get enough of. The electrifying buzz is almost tangible, especially as a charged-up guitar takes over just before the bridge with a thrilling riff. The chorus is a melting pot of buzzing vocals and raucous instrumentals that loud and unapologetic in the best way possible.
The video begins with altering scenes of the band delivering a fiery performance and a thespian dancing on an old-school television, but as we progress throughout the track, we somehow end up in a situation where both the band and the thespian are watching the TV. Don’t worry if you’re confused by this progression – the band are equally taken aback by their thespian guest but that won’t stop both parties jamming together for the finale.
