WAGE WAR Release Two New Singles ‘Prison’ & ‘Me Against Myself’
The metalcore formation has released not one, but two brand new singles in the span of three days, Prison and Me Against Myself, both taken off their upcoming album, Pressure, set for release on August 30th.
Wage War are getting closer to their album release and unveiling a bit more each couple of weeks. With the release of their recent raw single, Who I Am, the band has set expectations of what Pressure will sound like. Prison fits these expectations, so it’s a surprise, therefore, that Me Against Myself sounds so melodic compared to Wage War’s earlier releases. Lyrics-wise, it fits Wage War, but the band themselves have admitted it is a step in a different direction:
‘Me Against Myself’ is probably our farthest journey into the melodic world. From the very first demo, we knew it was special. The lyrics are about as transparent as it gets — dealing with the fact that a lot of times, we’re our own worst enemy. We’ve always prided ourselves on being versatile and pushing ourselves to create something new and different, and that’s what this song stands for.
With more cleans than we’re used to from Wage War in these most recent releases, we’re curious to hear how the complete album will pan out. Pressure, the band’s third album, will be released on August 30th via Fearless Records, with a headlining tour of UK and EU in January 2020.
