FLUME Collaborates with VERA BLUE for Newest Track ‘Rushing Back’
There’s no one that does electronic music quite like Flume, and Rushing Back serves as a reminder of the magic that can come from a good collaboration.
Having already released multiple new singles this year, including the likes of Let You Know with London Grammar, and his mixtape/visualiser Hi This Is Flume, it seems like 2019 is Flume’s year as he shares yet another new single in the form of Rushing Back. Working together with Vera Blue, real name Celia Pavey, it’s a thrilling track that takes apart what you thought you knew about electronic music and re-pieces the puzzle pieces in a creative new outlook.
Opened by the dulcet vocals of Vera Blue, jaunty electronics work alongside to create a breathlessness and sense of anticipation. With a variety of sounds, you’ll never find yourself anywhere near bored in the three or so minutes of the track, and you’ll be surprised by each new variation that Flume produces. The harmony of human and machine in this track gives way to a beautiful result, and we’re once again reminded of the wonders of a good collaboration.
You can catch Flume at the following dates.
12 – London, O2 Academy Brixton (SOLD OUT)
13 – Manchester, Mayfield Depot
