TAME IMPALA Announces New Album ‘The Slow Rush’
Kevin Parker has given us another taste of his forthcoming fourth album in the form of a new single, It Might Be Time.
Tame Impala (Kevin Parker) has announced his highly-anticipated fourth studio album The Slow Rush, set to drop February 14 via Fiction Records. In addition to this announcement, Parker has released It Might Be Time, following previously released single Borderline.
It Might Be Time is full of thrumming keyboard and punchy drums, hinting at what might be in store for those hoping to catch a Tame Impala show in the new year. In 2019 Parker has headlined Glastonbury, Coachella, Primavera, Lollapalooza, and ACL to name a few, and with planned March tour dates in California and Mexico, 2020 doesn’t see him slowing down.
In an interview with the New York Times earlier this year, Kevin Parker described The Slow Rush:
A lot of the songs carry this idea of time passing, of seeing your life flash before your eyes, being able to see clearly your life from this point onwards. I’m being swept away by this notion of time passing. There’s something really intoxicating about it.
With his third studio album Currents release dating back to 2015, Tame Impala fans are sure to be hungry for The Slow Rush. We’ll be curious to hear what else the multi-talented Kevin Parker has planned and the February release date draws near.
