ANDREW CUSHIN Shares Debut Single ‘It’s Gonna Get Better’
Andrew Cushin gracefully emerges into the music world with dazzling debut single It’s Gonna Get Better.
The Geordie singer-songwriter remarkably introduces his musical and lyrical gift by releasing his two-track debut EP, Waiting For The Rain, with its first teaser being It’s Gonna Get Better. Both songs were written by Andrew and produced by Sean Genocky whose previous work includes The Who, Richard Ashcroft, Tom McRae and Roger Daltrey to name a few.
This year sees Andrew Cushin ready and prepared for bigger and better things, hitting off with the four minute track that flawlessly portrays his rich vocal strength while outpouring his internal reality. The music video which could be the travel guide to your first or next visit to Andrew’s hometown of Newcastle, showcases the real essence of the Northern town, from its match days and iconic statues to its local pubs and backstreets, and eventually ends with the singer performing his debut single to a crowd at a local pub.
Speaking of the track, Andrew explains:
Every lyric written in that song was a reflection of how I was feeling one night when I fell out with my mother. I wrote it that night and couldn’t help but hope it’s gonna get better. Still now when I play it, I feel guilty for the hurt I caused her and likewise the pain I was feeling at the time.
Although Andrew Cushin has just started his journey, he has already managed to secure a slot at various festivals this year, starting with a sold out show at The Cluny.
