PALAYE ROYALE Announce New Album ‘The Bastards’

As foreshadowing for their newly announced album, The Bastards, Palaye Royale have crafted a haunting piece that is equally parts harrowing and addictive with Lonely.

Digging into the honesty box, Palaye Royale have outdone themselves with their latest single, Lonely. Despite touching on deeply personal subjects such as childhood abandonment, mental health, and drug use, the band manages to create a song that is hard to put down. The round tones overlaid with rimshot drumming contrast brightly against the intensely emotional lyrics. Compared to previous singles released in The Bastards era, there is less harsh distortion. The rawness of the vocals stands out, helping to capture the essence of the song. The video follows the frontman through the aforementioned trials and tribulations, painting a disturbingly honest picture of the pain depicted in the lyrics.

On the track, frontman Remington Leith explained:

‘Lonely’ is about the mental and physical abuse I endured as a child. Growing up, I went through so much shit and at points felt so low I couldn’t see a way out. It has affected me deeply throughout my life but I want the world to know that no matter what you’re going through, if I can make it out on the other side, so can you.

Palaye Royale are set to release their third studio album, The Bastards, on May 29th via Sumerian Records.
