MARTHAGUNN Release New Single ‘It’s Over’

MarthaGunn serve us a dynamic breakup anthem, It’s Over.

Following the band’s previous single release this year, We Don’t Need Each Other, MarthaGunn are back to make it clear that this time It’s Over. The five piece, who already have a highly acclaimed debut EP Love & Emotion in their pocket, find themselves more affirmative than ever as they victoriously express their raw feelings towards a past painful relationship. The sonic is fresh and built on a captivating mysterious intro that quickly builds into a catchy upbeat chorus with Abi Woodman commandingly explaining ‘And I don’t mean to complain about the way / You gave your love to me / But the truth is that / I never did see any.’

Commenting on It’s Over, singer Abi Woodman says:

I’m not one to stick around in an unhappy relationship. I can’t help but think that a lot of us are probably stuck in a situation we’d rather not be in. It took me a while, but when I realised my self-worth my expectations became higher. Following my heart and finding freedom and happiness is something I will never regret. This led me to writing ‘It’s Over’. For a change I wanted to make an upbeat, happy sounding song about a breakup. Because sometimes it’s the best thing that can happen to you.

MarthaGunn were meant to hit the road this spring for their UK tour titled ‘Caught Up & Confused Tour’, which will now take place in October.
