KNUCKLE PUCK Release Video for ‘Breathe’ feat. Derek Sanders

Chicago’s pop punkers Knuckle Puck will release their third studio album, 20/20, this September.

Knuckle Puck 2020

Knuckle Puck have offered yet another electrifying taste of their forthcoming new full-length, 20/20, due out on September 18th.

Urging listeners to stay positive and live in the here and now, the band once again channel their stream of consciousness into an unmatched passion and energy, as their new track proves. With fast-paced drums, colossal guitar riffs, and a thrilling dual vocal play between Joe Taylor and Nick Casasanto, Breathe already sounds like a Knuckle Puck classic. Featuring Derek Sanders of Mayday Parade, the rawness and emotion behind the song are sure to hit you right in the feels.

Speaking about the new track, guitarist/vocalist Nick Casasanto shares:

I find myself dwelling on things when they go wrong. Maybe something happened that was beyond my control or I said something that I later regretted. When these thoughts enter my mind, they takeover and it’s hard to breathe, putting me into an almost dissociative state. It wasn’t until I discovered mindfulness that I started to regain control, telling myself to take a deep breath and purge the negative thoughts. Life is going to constantly challenge you, but the only thing that truly matters is your mindset while weathering the storm. In these strange, infuriating and often scary times, remember to stay positive and breathe. Cool heads always prevail.

20/20 is set for release on September 18th via Rise Records. Revealing more about their new material, Nick adds:

Not every song has to be an existential journey. We went into this album wanting to make people feel good about who they are and not upset about who they aren’t. There’s so much to be angry about right now, and rather than contribute to it, we wanted to give people a reason to feel good. I want people to want to listen to this record.
