BAMILY Share Fresh New Single ‘Oh Damn’

Bamily have offered anthemic new track, Oh Damn, the perfect crossover between Dermot Kennedy and Loyle Carner.

Bamily 2020

The infectious new track from Bamily is the perfect mix of sterling vocals and pure indie hip hop. Oh Damn is centred around the theme of loneliness and the prospect of surviving life alone but facing it head on, taking one day at a time and realising that slowly things will get better. The melody feels futuristic with electronic drums and high keys but the vocals feel incredibly raw and captivating, leaving you with a sense of heartbreak but also optimism. The song as a whole has incredible versatility, it could happily live on soft lo-fi coffee shop playlists but it equally earns its right to be on festival set lists. A crossover between Dermot Kennedy and Loyle Carner, Oh Damn is anthemic, aesthetic, and ambitious.

Speaking on the track, Benjy said:

I wanted to write something about that feeling of being swallowed. That feeling of thinking you’re totally alone and like you don’t have anyone there for you. Hopefully this tune will let you know that everybody gets like that, maybe you’re not alone and sometimes you just gotta say oh damn and face everything being shit for a bit, dance in the rain and then it can get better.
