Dortmund’s dirty pop quartet Drens have just released their new track, M vs. D.

“Wild surf punk” four-piece, Drens, met in 2017 after they finished university, and over the course of the last three years they have been working on perfecting their sound and technique. After an array of singles, Drens released the debut Pet Peeves EP earlier in 2020. That wasn’t it for them, though, as we’ve received two more singles from Drens in the last few months; the latest being M vs. D.

The track is the epitome of feelgood, fuzzy retro pop; we feel like we’ve been taken back a couple of decades to the days when life was all about sun and surfing. M vs. D is the perfect tune to fill us with a little bit of light amongst all the dark days. Accompanied by an abstract, colourful, creative music video that radiates slightly psychedelic but also super positive energy.
