MARIE-CLO Shares New Single ‘Tides Of Fools’

Funky electro-pop will never fail to make you dance, as seen in Marie-Clo’s latest single, Tides Of Fools.

Marie-Clo 2021

Canada’s Marie-Clo entices listeners by singing in both English and French, and has been doing so since 2017; the multilingual music has helped broaden her fanbase and get her message across to a wider audience. In the last year, Marie-Clo released three short EP’s titled Shell(e) pt. 1, 2, and 3; each of which has led up to her debut album, also titled Shell(e). The album is a conceptual feminist narrative, made up each track from the EP’s, with one new single thrown in at the end.

The new single, Tides Of Fools, is made up of groove-ridden instrumentals, which are overlayed by Marie-Clo’s powerful voice. In spite of it being the only new single on the album, Tides Of Fools is the strongest as the funk it brings provides the good vibes to see out the album. Embodying the feminism she put in the album, this track narrates being independent and doing things for yourself, in the form of “hopping in cars, opening my own jars.”

The release of Shell(e), and Tides Of Fools in particular, brings forth a feeling of excitement and anticipation as to what Marie-Clo will do next.
