Evoking a feeling of pure joy is Dandelion, the sunny new single from Lili Joy

Only 18, Californian Lili Joy is a “teenager with a unique artistry,” and has done a lovely little job at establishing herself and her sound. From appearing on The Voice, to jumping on a stage whenever anybody would let her, Joy is music-mad, and wants to experiment. She released her debut single in 2019 and has since shared a handful of others, the latest being Dandelion.

Finding its roots in dream-pop, Dandelion goes beyond that and sees Joy putting all her eggs in different baskets. She refuses to stick to one genre, and this is evident within this latest track. It feels like summer, but a prominent baseline gives this floaty pop song a little more substance. Joy’s vocals are gorgeous, and the harmonies threaded throughout create a lovely energy.
