OSKAR SVALIN Debuts With ‘Trampoline’

Not as bouncy as its name suggests, Trampoline is the emotive debut ballad from Oskar Svalin.

Releasing a debut single is always scary. How are people going to react? What’s the reception going to be like? Is it good enough? These are all thoughts that probably went through the head of Sweden’s Oskar Svalin before the release of his first single, Trampoline. It’s confirmed, though, that it very much is good enough.

Trampoline is a single that both fills and breaks listeners’ hearts. Written about both hope and heartbreak, and composed using building instrumentals and sombre vocals, it’s definitely fair to label it as a ballad. Almost orchestral melodies give the track a spacious, otherworldly feel, and this combined with Svalin’s raw, emotive voice take listeners to a whole new level. It’s incredibly reflective, but it’s also simply incredible.

On his musical journey thus far, Svalin shares:

I thought a lot about what makes me tick musically, but now that the song is out there – I realise it’s not about me at all. It’s for the future, for the listener, for people like my son. I guess I’m maturing.
