SILVERSTEIN Share New Track ‘Burn It Down’ feat. Caleb Shomo
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the result you get from combining Silverstein and Caleb Shomo from Beartooth is a fiery explosion of riffs, catchy vocals and impassioned lyricism.
It’s no mean feat for a band to still be creating music 20 years from when they first started, but Ontario’s Silverstein are still going strong as show with the release of their latest track Burn It Down. Nearing the two decade mark, their latest track shows no indication of the band’s momentum stopping soon as battering drums and red-hot energy fire up the track. Caleb’s screams only build onto the aggression to create an unforgiving yet completely infectious tune.
Explaining the track, vocalist Shane Told says:
The song picks up right where Dead Reflection left off. It has the catchiness and riffiness of that album, but production-wise and vocally we took another progressive step in a direction we feel great about. It hits hard and tells a story but gets you straight to the point. It’s not messing around – direct and in your face. Once the bridge section music was completed, we could imagine Caleb’s voice working so perfectly over it – so we sent it to him and said “do your thing”. He sent it back and I just about fell over when I heard it.
You can catch the band on their London headline date on 8th February 2020 at O2 Academy Islington to celebrate the band’s 20th anniversary.
