APRE Share Stirring New Single ‘5 to 5’
Touching upon the repetitive and often defeating daily routine that we go through, the new APRE track isn’t one that sugarcoats the truth yet there’s still some hope to be sought in it.

London duo APRE are back with a double whammy of their new single 5 to 5 and news of an extensive tour alongside Inhaler.
The duo have always had a knack for writing hooking melodies that draw upon a variety of influences to synthesise their own emotive sounds, and they continue in the same vein with 5 to 5 which picks out the alternative influence of Foals and the emotive pop of Tears for Fears. Utilising cutting electronics and heartfelt keys, a glimmering wall of sound is created as the backing track to a tale of the daily burdens of life which can often leave us feeling defeated, burnt out and downtrodden. Despite the huge scope for the track to feel heavy and depressing, the duo manage to transform the message to one of optimism as they touch upon the magic of companionship.
Explaining more of the track, the duo says:
[The track is] about the hardships of getting too comfortable within your own life, feeling low about your social position, and being trodden on by the governmental system time and time again. It describes the mundane, never changing lifestyle that so many of us find ourselves falling into. But it also seeks to find hope in understanding that when we all come together and support one another we can be far stronger than our individual parts.
