Although it’s always an exciting day when there’s a new release from iDKHOW, the levels are heightened when the release is an unexpected, albeit pleasant, surprise.

iDKHOW New Invention 2020

iDKHOW are really shining a light on 2020 as they release New Invention. The surprise release is the third to be lifted off their forthcoming debut album, Razzmatazz, which is set for release on October 23rd via Fearless Records. Turning the page onto a new chapter of the intricate storyline that iDKHOW reside in, it continues peeling back the mystery of a band from 30 years ago that never got their big break. The band have re-built their momentum as videos from 1964 to 1983 are gradually released, in a sequence yet to be understood. New Invention is the latest piece of the puzzle, and it nods at previous video Leave Me Alone, having been filmed on the same Kubrickian 70s sci-fi set.

Sonically, it sharpens the signature sound of the band with delectable vocals and a myriad of fascinating effects. From booming bass lines to a resounding chorus, iDKHOW spin a sound that is timeless enough that to be 80s themed, but has enough modern elements to make it feel novel and refreshing. A strict sense of pulse grounds the track amidst jumping guitars that trapeze across the instrumental range, and it is sure to be the perfect accompaniment to all of your devilish romps.
