Back to excite fans with another heaping spoonful of anticipation for their new album, iDKHOW have dropped the official music video for their new single Leave Me Alone.

Immediately bringing the nostalgia present in the song to life, the video shows the duo sequestered in a retro laboratory as deranged test subjects in what looks like Stanley Kubrick’s adaptation of the Project MKUltra story.

From showcasing mad scientists and wild experiments, a manic-fuelled musical performance and psychedelic computerized images — iDKHOW, with the help of video director Raul Gonzo, prove they are true conceptual visionaries.

Aesthetically the video is a throwback, however, the imagery behind the pair being confined to playing their instruments in giant bubbles and plastic draped cubes alludes to a poignant note in regards to the current state of the world, and the ongoing pandemic.

Speaking of the pandemic, frontman Dallon Weekes had this to say about the process of creating a music video during Covid-19.

Making a video in the middle of a pandemic was a challenge. We decided to incorporate a lot of things from the state of the world as it is now. Social distancing, sterile isolation, etc. it all seemed to fit with the song’s themes of wanting to quarantine yourself from toxic people and situations.

iDKHOW’s debut album Razzmatazz will be released on October 16th via Fearless Records.
