SLØTFACE New Song Review // “Bright Lights”
SLØTFACE unveil new track Bright Lights.

The Norwegian foursome Sløtface reveal new single, Bright Lights, taken from the forth-coming EP, Empire Records, and we are beyond excited.
Bright Lights brings us back down after their previous upbeat tune, Take Me Dancing. The melancholy and moodiness of the tune supply the escapism the autumn calls for.
In the words of vocalist Haley Shea:
“Bright Lights” is about escaping from things that are going on in your own head and in society in general by distracting yourself, especially from the minor and major personal issues we all have. It’s about a desire for escape, and a break from dealing with things that might seem too hard. We recorded it at Ocean Sounds in Norway – the most beautiful studio in the world –with our awesome producer, Dan Austin, late last year. The environment and stormy weather when we were recording really helped set the mood for what is a quite melancholy, emo track.
The song Bright Lights is due for release on Sep 23 whilst Empire Records EP on Nov 18 via Propeller Recordings.
The band will also play a few shows in the UK, including back-to-back gig in London:
