THE MYSTERINES Unveil New Single ‘Love’s Not Enough’
The Mysterines explain how destructive love can be with electrifying new single Love’s Not Enough.
Following an epic previous year which saw The Mysterines release their debut EP Take Control, support Royal Blood, Sea Girls and The Amazons, deliver a headline set on the BBC Introducing stage at Reading Festival, and a performance on the first episode of Paul Weller’s Black Barn Sessions, the Liverpool outfit are continuing to leave their mark on the indie world with their new explosive single, Love’s Not Enough.
The 80s garage rock infused anthem follows the same recipe as the band’s previous releases – rapid dynamic guitar notes, aggressive drum beats and massive riffs, a recipe which seems to be working for them perfectly as it’s now marked as their distinctive ‘The Mysterines’ sound.
“Sometimes love’s not enough to make things last”, sings Lia Metcalfe met by her powerful commanding vocals that resemble to those of Joan’s Jett, as she tries to explain that the single “Is a short reflection of just how destructive love can be, both mentally and physically.”
