ALL TIME LOW Release New Single ‘Sleeping In’
Having gone through many changes in their seventeen-year-long career, Sleeping In sees All Time Low perfectly blend their old pop-punk sound with the production of their newer releases, creating a cheerful, bouncy hit to see us through the rest of winter.
The catchy love note lyrics and upbeat melodies of Sleeping In will have you jiving along upon first listen. While the vocals are a little over-produced, as has been the case with the last several records, the overall tone and speed of the track are reminiscent of early All Time Low days. The drum cut before the final chorus hits hard, which will be a delight during live performances. It is the kind of song you play at full-volume (repeatedly) because the instrumentals and chorus are so infectiously addictive.
For the Sleeping In video, the band partnered with North Shore Animal League America (NSALA) to help raise money and awareness for no-kill rescue and adoption organisations by showcasing the love of furry, fishy, and feline friends. This sends an important message to viewers: adopt don’t shop.
Speaking on the forthcoming LP, Wake Up, Sunshine, vocalist Alex Gaskarth commented:
We got back to how we started. It had been a long time since the four of us made a record under one roof. That became a central theme. We’ve been a band for 17 years. Everybody brought something to the table. A lot of what you’re hearing came from those magic moments together.
Wake Up, Sunshine drops April 3rd via Fueled By Ramen and if Sleeping In is a preview of what’s to come, 2020 is going to be a great year for pop-punk.
